{"id":23894,"date":"2025-03-07T11:03:52","date_gmt":"2025-03-07T11:03:52","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.borehamwoodfootballclub.co.uk\/?p=23894"},"modified":"2025-03-07T11:05:45","modified_gmt":"2025-03-07T11:05:45","slug":"another-successful-home-community-initiative","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.borehamwoodfootballclub.co.uk\/another-successful-home-community-initiative\/","title":{"rendered":"Another successful home community initiative!"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><strong>Yesterday, the Boreham Wood Community Trust attended the National League Trust\u2019s regional tournament, hosted by Woking FC\u2019s Cardinals in the Community and held at Walton &amp; Hersham United FC.<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>The club was represented at the tournament by local schools, Fairfield Junior School and Summerswood Primary School in the year five\/six mixed and year five\/six girls\u2019 categories, with both\u00a0schools\u00a0qualifying after winning our own primary school tournaments held at Meadow Park\u00a0in January.<\/p>\n<p>As such, both travelled down to Surrey with us on our \u2018Wood Army\u2019\u00a0buses and would go on to\u00a0perform excellently\u00a0in what was a highly competitive tournament with some excellent\u00a0teams and talent in attendance.<\/p>\n<p>Unfortunately, both sides fell at the group stage hurdle but were a credit to themselves, as\u00a0they all\u00a0had a fantastic experience and day representing their schools, our club, our town and our community.<\/p>\n<p>Community Trust Lead Coach, Chaz Brown commented, saying: \u201cBoth our teams, from Summerswood and Fairfield, did everyone at their schools, our club and town proud today, and as a club, we want to say a\u00a0huge thank you to the staff and parents from both schools.
